WhatsApp Sandbox

Toutye supplies the registered Sandbox number. Enter a number you control. Toutye sends a WhatsApp invitation; tap YES in that invitation. Connected appears only after Toutye verifies the response. No Meta account or customer Meta Console setup is needed. At most two recipients can be admitted. Availability, expiry, limits and funding are shown for your selected account; Sandbox does not imply free Live traffic.

Open your account’s Sandbox

Connect your WhatsApp

  1. Check that Toutye has admitted your account and that its number, limits, expiry and funding are displayed.
  2. Enter a WhatsApp number you control and request its invitation. Toutye pays for this sponsored invitation within the displayed limits; your wallet is not charged.
  3. Tap YES in the invitation received on that number’s WhatsApp. Toutye verifies that actual response; no code or Meta Console setup is required.
  4. Refresh to check for Connected. Send a real test message only after connection and follow the recorded message status and inbox.

Request an invitation with the API

Use your Sandbox credentials and selected account. Generate one UUID for this invitation and keep it with the request. The idempotencyKey is required in WHATSAPP_INVITE mode; repeat the same body and key to recover its recorded result. Do not generate another key while the invitation outcome is unknown.

Limits and stopping

At most two recipients can be admitted. Recipient access, the reply window and account admission can expire separately. Send STOP from the recipient’s WhatsApp, or stop/remove the recipient in Sandbox, to block new sends. This cannot recall an already admitted message or reset usage limits.

Funding is shown from the account’s actual configuration. Sponsored testing does not imply free Live traffic. An accepted request is not delivery; check history before retrying an unknown outcome.

Environment and developer tools

Sandbox and Live credentials and data remain separate. Real Sandbox messages carry deliveryMode REAL_TEST and livemode false. A Sandbox key alone never admits real delivery. Delivery and read status come from actual WhatsApp events.
